OVERVIEW

July 8-20th

Ballet, Swan Lake & French Immersion

Age 4-16

1/2 the day will be French immersion, the activities such as costume making and set design will be in French. Appropriate for Francophone & Anglophone children. Students will study classical ballet technique and they will learn the story of Swan Lake.

They will make the costumes and sets for the end of program performance of the Swan Lake.

July 22-August 2nd

Ballet, Tap/Musical Theater, Mary Poppins & Costume Making

Age 4-16

Students will study ballet and tap technique. They’ll also learn the songs and dances from the original broadway show: Mary Poppins.

They’ll make the sets & costumes for the end of program performance of Mary Poppins.

August 5-16

Choreography Composition & Classical Ballet

age 8+ audition & placement only

This program is for students who would like to deepen their technique and develop their creative capacity within the art form.

Students will study classical ballet & pointe technique (where applicable).

They’ll study the choreographic process and have a chance to create their own works. Includes stretching, conditioning & injury prevention classes.

They’ll participate in the costume creation and set design for the culminating performance which will be partly works that they have created themselves and classical pieces from the traditional repertoire.
